Our story
High-quality tutoring, at a price families can afford.
Prose began as a not-for-profit passion project, tutoring its first students for free. It has since grown into a full-time, philanthropic educational initiative that sets out to rethink the economics of tutoring.
With growing demand and proven results, Prose now teaches students from every corner of Victoria, all online.

Our first cohort
No fees: Prose tutored its first students for free.

Who we're for
We chose to prioritise students from low socio-economic backgrounds, regional areas and public schools.
Average study score 41; top score 50.
2025
Our first scholarship
We awarded our first scholarship.
18 of our 24 students came from low socio-economic, regional or public school backgrounds.
Average study score 43, with three study scores of 50. 45.8% of study scores were 45 or higher; highest ATAR 99.80.
2026

Prose was a transformative force during my Year 12 English journey. I remember consulting with Daniel for the first time, completely lost and scared that I wouldn't be able to achieve my desired scores throughout the year. I expected Prose to be another tutoring company where they treat students like a number; another cog in the machine to boast their scores. However, Prose subverted all my expectations. Prose helped me to discover a true passion for learning English, beyond that of the school curriculum.
